Overview
The previous-generation RAM 1500 HEMI has a huge installed base and remains one of the easiest RAM petrol products to sell because owners already know the truck has enough engine but want it to respond better. Factory ratings moved from 395 hp / 407 lb-ft at launch to 395 hp / 410 lb-ft in later model years, with towing above 10,000 lb on properly equipped trucks. The tuning value here is improved pedal response, more decisive torque request and better behavior during rolling acceleration and towing. Earlier GPEC2 units and later GPEC2A/GPEC3 variants are established FCA petrol platforms in the tuning world.

Programming Instructions
The Continental GPEC2 / GPEC2A-GPEC3 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
