Overview
The Land Rover Defender TD5 is one of the most respected and widely tuned older diesel platforms. The five-cylinder 2.5 engine uses a Lucas Sagem or Bosch ECU depending on year, and both have well-understood calibration access routes. The TD5 responds strongly to improved fueling and boost calibration because the stock file is deliberately conservative. This is a classic tow and trail platform where extra low-end torque makes an immediate difference. Stage 1 retains all factory emissions equipment. Off-road delete options available separately for motorsport and competition use only.

Programming Options
Option 1 — OBD Flash (no ECU removal): Vehicle is tuned via the OBD-II port at AMT Tuning or using the POWERGATE4 tool. No ECU removal required.
Option 2 — ECU Mail-In (bench flash): Remove your ECU and ship it to AMT Tuning. We flash it on the bench and return it within 3–5 business days.
