Overview
The Land Rover Defender 2.2 TD4 uses either the Motorola MEMS3 or Siemens Continental SID208 ECU depending on production date, and both respond well to diesel calibration work. The DT244 engine has meaningful headroom in boost pressure, injection quantity, and torque delivery, so Stage 1 produces a very noticeable real-world improvement in pulling power and part-throttle response. For Defenders used in towing, off-road duty, or everyday commuting in Canada, the low-rpm torque improvement is especially valuable. Stage 1 keeps all emissions systems intact. Off-road delete options are available separately for motorsport and competition use only.

Programming Options
Option 1 — OBD Flash (no ECU removal): Vehicle is tuned via the OBD-II port at AMT Tuning or using the POWERGATE4 tool. No ECU removal required.
Option 2 — ECU Mail-In (bench flash): Remove your ECU and ship it to AMT Tuning. We flash it on the bench and return it within 3–5 business days.
