Overview
The M440i shares the Bosch MG1CS049 and the same late generation B58 architecture that has made the 40i BMW range one of the strongest modern tuning markets. AutoTuner ONE gives confirmed OBD access on supported cars, while later protected DMEs may still need unlock handling before standard flashing. The car gains a large amount of usable street torque on stock hardware and stays very consistent in Canadian cold weather when charge temperatures are under control. With intercooler, downpipe, and charge pipe upgrades, the platform supports a very saleable Stage 2 package.
