Overview
The DBS uses the highest output road going version of Aston Martin’s 5.2 twin turbo V12, so this is already a very highly developed baseline. Even so, the ECU still leaves room to extend the torque band and improve response under load, especially on premium fuel. The key with this platform is to add performance without taking away the effortless delivery that defines the DBS. Bench flashing is the normal route because of ECU security and the value of the hardware involved.

Programming Instructions
The Bosch ME17.8.31 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
