Overview
The new generation Vantage V8 uses the AMG sourced M177 twin turbo V8 with Bosch MED17 management, giving it far more tuning headroom than the older naturally aspirated cars. Factory calibration already delivers strong torque, but there is still clear room to improve boost control, torque intervention, and throttle response while keeping the car refined. This platform is especially rewarding because gains are felt across the entire midrange, not just at peak rpm. Bench work is generally the safer route on these later ECUs due to security and calibration protection.

Programming Instructions
The Bosch MED17.7.5 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
