Overview
The DB11 V8 uses the AMG sourced 4.0 twin turbo V8 and Bosch MED17 electronics, giving it a modern torque based control strategy with strong but very usable tuning potential. Aston calibrates this engine more softly than many AMG applications, so there is meaningful headroom in boost, ignition, and torque shaping. Stage 1 transforms the midrange and improves response without upsetting the DB11’s grand touring role. Stage 2 adds stronger upper rpm pull when paired with freer downpipes and improved charge cooling.

Programming Instructions
The Bosch MED17.7.5 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
