Nissan’s VK56VD truck V8 has modern variable valve systems and a better tune response than most buyers expect from a naturally aspirated SUV engine. UpRev and other tools now support these late VK56 truck and SUV applications, making the platform commercially viable for a conservative towing-friendly flash product. Peak gains are modest, but improved throttle authority and torque delivery are useful in heavy vehicles. The outputs below are conservative pump-fuel targets.
