Overview
Toyota’s rally-bred G16E-GTS is a very dense, high-specific-output engine with strong stock hardware and a surprisingly sophisticated Denso torque model. The ECU is already a known tuning target, and the engine responds well to boost, cam, and torque-limit work when charge temperature is controlled. It is one of the best small-displacement factory turbo platforms in the Japanese market. The outputs below are conservative pump-fuel targets.

Programming Instructions
The Denso R7F701216 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
