Overview
The 5.7 Grand Cherokee has a very large installed base and still makes sense as a tuning product because owners want stronger part-throttle response and better transmission behavior. Controller strategy changes across this huge span, but the modern Stellantis years clearly sit within the locked-PCM world. Programming Instructions
The NGC4 / GPEC2A PCM ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
