Overview
The newer G80 2.5T uses Hyundai’s Smartstream turbo architecture and generally a sealed Continental SIM2K-251 ECU. Later software generations can require bench access or unlock before routine flashing, so this platform should be marketed accordingly. Once accessible, the engine offers strong gains because the stock file is biased toward comfort and drivetrain smoothness.

Programming Instructions
The Continental SIM2K-251 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
