The X4 M40i uses the same core B58 tuning recipe as the X3 M40i, but in a coupe SUV package that sells well to style focused buyers who still want strong real world performance. AutoTuner coverage on supported MG1 B58 applications keeps the flash path practical, with later protected DMEs requiring unlock treatment where applicable. The platform gains substantial low and midrange torque on stock hardware and performs particularly well in cool Canadian air. A proper FMIC and downpipe setup makes the Stage 2 step easy to justify.
