The EA288 Golf GTD is a very saleable diesel tune because the factory Bosch EDC17C64 calibration leaves generous room in boost, injection and torque request. A good Stage 1 file produces exactly the kind of low and mid rpm shove diesel customers notice every day, often with equal or better cruising efficiency. Stage 2 with exhaust and charge air support can add another meaningful step in torque while keeping smoke and EGT under control when calibrated properly.
