The latest M254 four cylinder responds well to software because the factory calibration is built around tight torque management and a relatively conservative boost profile. Modern W206 and related cars commonly require bench handling on the Bosch MG1 family before tuning support can be delivered. Once supported, Stage 1 improves low end urgency and throttle response substantially, while Stage 2 with breathing mods helps the engine hold power more effectively at higher rpm.

Programming Instructions
The Bosch MG1CS100 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
