STAGE 1 & STAGE 2 PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE

OVERVIEW

Our performance software for the Cadillac ATS 3.6 V6 delivers a noticeable improvement in horsepower, torque, throttle response, and overall drivability. All calibrations are developed in-house and tailored specifically for the 3.6-liter V6 platform using precise ignition, load, torque, and airflow modeling.

Stage 1 is intended for stock or lightly modified vehicles.
Stage 2 is designed for vehicles equipped with upgraded intake and exhaust components, allowing the engine to fully benefit from the increased airflow.

WHAT STAGE 2 INCLUDES

Stage 2 consists of a complete, individualized recalibration of the ECU. All major engine parameters—ignition timing, fuel delivery, torque and airflow limiters, throttle mapping, and load targets—are optimized to support:

• Aftermarket cat-back exhaust
• High-flow or catless downpipes (where applicable)
• Upgraded cold air intake

These changes improve mid-range torque, throttle response, and overall engine efficiency while maintaining safe operating margins.

PROGRAMMING OPTIONS

The Cadillac ATS 3.6 V6 is compatible with our BBS OBD2 Flashing Tool, allowing full ECU read and write through the OBD port, without ECU removal.

BBS FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS (OBD2)

1. Install BBS Software

• Install the BBS flashing software on your Windows laptop.
• Connect your Senselock USB dongle (if required).
• Confirm all necessary drivers are installed.

2. Connect to the Vehicle

• Plug the BBS OBD2 cable into the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
• Connect the USB end to your laptop.
• Turn the ignition ON (engine OFF).

3. Perform the Initial ECU Read

• Open the BBS software.
• Select the correct protocol for the ATS 3.6 V6 ECU.
• Start the read process and allow it to complete without interruption.
• Save the original file and upload it to AMT Tuning using the provided instructions.

4. Receive Your Tuned File

• Typical turnaround time is 24–48 hours.
• You will receive your tuned file via email or download link.

5. Flash the Tuned File

• Load the tuned file into the BBS software.
• Follow the prompts to write the file through the OBD port.
• Do not disconnect the cable or cycle the ignition until the process is complete.

6. Switching Tunes

• The BBS tool stores and flashes one tune at a time.
• Additional files (Stage upgrades, pops & bangs, special options) can be requested at any time.

7. Stock File

Your original stock file remains saved and can be written back to the ECU at any time, returning the vehicle to factory calibration.
