Overview
The 4.0T V8 brought a lighter nose and a more responsive character to the Continental platform while keeping Bentley refinement intact. This EA824 based engine is highly tuneable and gains strongly from careful boost, ignition and torque model recalibration. Even on Stage 1 the engine feels noticeably more urgent without losing daily smoothness. Stage 2 adds stronger upper rpm pull when paired with downpipes and improved charge cooling.

Programming Instructions
The Bosch MED17.1.1 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
