Overview
The current Range Rover Sport P400 uses the modern JLR inline-six petrol MHEV with Bosch MG1CS028 calibration. These ECUs are attractive but usually require bench-oriented access because of newer security layers and software protection. It is an excellent premium product because even modest calibration changes dramatically improve the vehicle’s midrange response.

Programming Instructions
The Bosch MG1CS028 ECU requires bench flashing — direct connection to the ECU outside the vehicle. The ECU must be removed and shipped to AMT Tuning for programming.
- Remove the ECU from your vehicle (refer to your workshop manual for location and procedure)
- Package securely and ship to AMT Tuning at the address below
- AMT will read your stock file and flash your custom tune directly on the bench
- Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days from receipt
- Reinstall the returned ECU — the tune is active immediately on start-up
